Solar Flares: Deaf Heritage
Injecting Hope: deaf experiences of lockdown
Between 2020 and 2023 I worked with Solar Bear as project coordinator on the Solar Flares: Deaf Heritage project. There are large gaps in the archiving and celebration of deaf heritage in Scotland, the project sought to bridge this gap in three ways: topics, projects and outreach and engagement.
Developed along side the project, I produced several films by deaf filmmakers which explore the topics of deaf folklore, deaf football, deaf activism and deaf identity.

Working with the National Museums of Scotland and filmmaker Will Clark, I researched and produced a documentary film about deaf experiences of lockdown. The film was screened at the National Galleries alongside the exhibition Injecting Hope: The Race for a COVID-19 Vaccine.
